Continuing its efforts at regulating the quality of drugs that are available to general public, the Telangana State Drug Control Administration (TSDCA), in the month of September seized stocks of drugs worth Rs 19.35 lakh, in addition to initiating a total of 54 cases for various kinds of offenses during the same time frame.

A total of 54



cases were initiated in the month of September and the nature of violations included unlicensed medical shops that were involved in sale of steroids and cardiac stimulants (09), quacks and unlicensed stocking and sale of drugs (26), drug manufactured and sold as food products and nutraceuticals (14), unlicensed manufacturing (01), expired drugs (03) and banned drugs (01).
