TSRTC hikes 'double duty' wages for staff

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will pay its staff more on double duty assignments in view of the increased bus trips under the Maha Lakshmi scheme of free travel for women.

Around 40,000 employees



of the corporation had to do double duty due to the surge in occupancy rates. The proposed hike includes a raise for regular drivers from Rs 740 to Rs 900 and conductors Rs 700 to Rs 900.
