The joint action committee of employees of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TRSTC) has called for a State bandh on October 19.
The indefinite strike by unions of TSRTC continued for the tenth day.
The Joint Action Committee (JAC) has announced week-long protests to intensify the agitation with the support of Opposition parties. On Saturday, after the rally by RTC workers along with BJP activists, the JAC leaders along with the other opposition parties held a meeting at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram and announced their plans for the next one
week.
Accordingly, their protests would start with ‘Vanta varpu’, where protesters would cook on the streets on October 13, followed by a sit in before all the depots and meeting at Indira Park on October 14, ‘Rasta roko’ and human chain formation on October 15.
JAC leaders announced that a a rally will be taken out on October 16, ‘Dhoom dhaam’ by employees, students and trade union leaders on October 17 and a bike rally on October 18 in support of Telangana bandh. Union leaders have also called for State-wide bandh on October 19.
