Hyderabad: For the first time, the Air-Conditioned (AC) sleeper buses are being offered by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) in order to improve service quality for its customers.
AC sleeper buses with high-tech features for lengthy journeys have been designed by the company, which has already introduced new super-luxury non-AC sleeper and seater-cum-sleeper buses.
Starting in March, 16 brand-new AC sleeper buses with the name "Lahari" will be available to
passengers. These buses were designed to be comparable to private travel buses. In the initial phase, it is anticipated that these bus services will operate on the routes of Bengaluru and Hubli in Karnataka, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, and Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
On Monday, TSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director VC Sajjanar visited the Bus Bhavan premises to inspect the brand-new Proto (Sample) AC sleeper bus and directed the staff to make the buses available to passengers as soon as possible.
