TSRTC to observe Road Safety Week

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will observe the 31st Road Safety Week from January 27 to February 2.

During the Road Safety Week, a meeting with all supervisors, conductors, drivers and maintenance staff will be held duly inviting passenger association representatives, transport, police, legal and others to give suggestions regarding safe driving.

In addition to this, posters, banners and stickers on road safety will be printed and displayed at important traffic points and bus stations to create awareness on road safety among passengers and staff.

Special medical camps for drivers and training classes



on safe driving for all staff will be conducted at each zonal training college. Also, special care will be taken on warfooting basis regarding maintenance of buses.

To encourage drivers of RTC on safe driving, three drivers having longest accident-free record at each depot, regional and zonal levels and State level will be selected and felicitated with cash prize.

Similarly, appreciation letters and mementoes along with cash awards, will be presented to the depot managers, supervisors and depots which registered lowest accident rate during the FY 2018-2019, according to a press release.
