Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is planning to increase the buses from Miyapur Metro Station to Wipro Circle and Financial District in Gachibowli at the request of Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA). With more than 3,500 autos plying on this route, there was a demand for more buses to cater the needs of techies working in these areas. To this effect, HYSEA has requested the RTC to operate additional buses.
Already, RTC is operating few buses to IT corridor connecting metro stations. However,
with the rise in the use of public transport, particularly on Madhapur and Gachibowli stretches, RTC is planning to come up with more buses for the convenience of techies. This decision by RTC authorities would come as a relief for a large work force as they travel in congested buses.
A Purushotham, Executive Director, TSTRC Greater Hyderabad Zone said a survey would be conducted for three days to study the number of buses to be operated on these route. Around 10 buses are likely to be operated in the first phase, he said.
