The TSRTC Mazdoor Union (TMU) has called for a series of protests against the management for not implementing the pay scales and not solving the issues of the workers. Addressing a press conference here, TMU general secretary E Ashwathama Reddy said the workers would be taking up protests at depots on June 25 and also take up a relay hunger strike.
He further said his organisation submitted a letter to the Managing Director with demands of the workers. There is
no regular MD in the corporation and the administration has gone for a toss. The management has been adopting lackadaisical attitude towards the workers as they are not even allowed to apply for loan. He warned the management that if the issues of the workers are not resolved, it would have to take responsibility for the consequences. It may be mentioned here that TMU is affiliated to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party.
