TSSPDCL Assistant Engineer caught taking bribe of Rs 12,000 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: An Assistant Engineer of TSSPDCL, Medchal Malkajgiri district, was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 12000 from a private contractor for doing official work.

As assistant engineer, official S Anil Kumar allegedly demanded a bribe from Bollaram Bal Narsimha, a private electrical contractor, to create a "work completion



report" and send it to higher-ranking officials.

On a complaint from the contractor the ACB laid a trap and caught the contractor red-handed. The amount was seized from him and both of his fingers tested positive results in a chemical test.

The Assistant Engineer appeared in front of the Honorable First Additional Special Judge in Hyderabad for the SPE and ACB cases.
