The Tukaram Gate Railway under Bridge (RuB) built at a cost of Rs. 29.10 crore will be inaugurated by KT Rama Rao on Friday.
Given the growth of Hyderabad in all four directions, the State government has been making focused efforts to streamline traffic movement and ensure improved commuting experience.
As part of these efforts under Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), the Tukaram Gate RuB has been built. Along with the under bridge, the approach road drainage system were set
up with funds from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Railways.
The new facility is 375m long with box portion of 40m and approaches of 245m. The ramp length towards Mettuguda is 86m while the ramp towards Marredpally is 159m.
The construction of the RuB comes as a great relief from frequent closure of railway crossing at Lalaguda halt station and it will also ease traffic congestion on the Malkajgiri, Marredpally, Tarnaka, Mettuguda and Lalapet- Secunderabad road.
