Mancherial: Two persons were arrested on Monday for allegedly poaching a spotted deer by setting an electrified snare and sharing its meat at Shivalingapur village in Chennur on January 24. The meat of the herbivore was seized from them. Another accused person was absconding.

Chennur Forest Range Officer Shiva Kumar said that Boya Prasad and Nakka Mahender from Shivalingapur were apprehended for hunting wild



animals using the snare in the forests of the village. Urati Pocham belonging to the same village was still at large.

The two poachers were produced before a court in Mancherial and were sent to judicial remand.

Deputy Range Officer Prabhakar, Forest Section Officers Rajesh, Chandramohan and Forest Beat Officer Swapna took part in the operation.
