Around 6,240 2-BHK houses at Rampally will be ready for inauguration by September-end and in addition to these another 75,000 2-BHK units will be ready by the year-end, said Mayor Bonthu Rammohan.
Appealing to the people not to approach any agents or middlemen for allotment of houses, he said the State government was adopting a transparent process in allotment of houses wherein revenue department will be identifying the eligible beneficiaries.
“There is no scope for any irregularity as the entire allotment process is online and the beneficiaries’ details are linked with Aadhaar cards to avoid any duplication,” Rammohan said.
The Mayor on Sunday inspected the works at Rampally site where 6,240 houses are constructed in 53 blocks of stilt plus ten floors patterns. The municipal corporation is extending all support to the agency executing the works, he said adding that to expedite works, shear
walls were constructed using tunnel form technology, which is first of its kind technology in the country.
Each 2-BHK houses is costing about Rs.8.75 lakh and amenities provided in the site are on par with any private gated community. “There is a shopping complex, play area, school, indoor stadium and a gas pipe connection to houses is also being arranged for the convenience of residents,” he said.
Save for minor works like connection of water supply to the site (by HMWSSB), laying of approach road from GAIL Limited to the site, street lights electrification and transformers installation, all the major works were done, he informed.
As per Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s vision, all facilities and basic amenities were being provided at the double bedroom houses sites to enable the residents live with self respect, the Mayor added.
