Two dead, two injured in road accident

Hyderabad: A mother and daughter died, while two others suffered severe injuries when two auto-rickshaws collided near Alur Gate, said Chevella police here on Monday.

According to the police, the women were identified as Shainaz Begum (33) and her mother, Abed Abi (55), both residents of the city, who had gone to Kothaguda in Vikarabad to meet their relatives on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours, when the women were heading home after



taking an auto from near Kothaguda.

“When the vehicle reached Alur Gate, the driver lost control and collided with another auto coming from opposite direction,” police said, adding that the women died on the spot.

A senior official said two men, who suffered injuries were shifted to Osmania General Hospital and their condition was stated to be critical. Based on a complaint from women’s family, police have registered a case and are investigating.
