Municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday announced that the work on two mega flyovers in the city will begin within the next two months. He said land required for the flyovers will be acquired within two months.
The flyovers, Uppal elevated corridor and Amberpet flyover, when completed will ease traffic on the busy junctions in Uppal and Amberpet in the city . Rama Rao reviewing the flyover projects said the
hurdles for land acquisition have been overcome as the President has given his assent to the new land acquisition Act passed recently by Telangana government.
The cost of the elevated corridor at Uppal is `960 crore. It will be 6.4 km long from Uppal to Nandanavanam at Bhagyanagar.The Amberpet flyover will come up between Golnaka and Ramanthapur. The government will spend `110 crore on the flyover.
