Two in CNG car charred to death after vehicle catches fire

In a tragic incident, two persons were killed when their CNG-powered four wheeler caught fire on the service road of Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Ghatkesar on Monday evening.

The victims were travelling in a CNG car from Ghatkesar towards Ghanpur village when the vehicle caught fire. One of the victims tried his best to escape the fire but unfortunately his clothes caught fire and he died on the spot, according to the



police.

“The man managed to rush out of the car and collapsed on the pavement, but before help could reach, the victim was charred to death. The other body is charred beyond recognition and was found inside the car,” said Ghatkesar Inspector, P. Parusharam.

Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and informed the fire fighters. A fire tender reached the spot and doused the flames. The police suspect the incident occurred due to a short circuit..
