Meanwhile, police, Fire Services and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials launched rescue operation. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) also joined the operation.

At least 50 workers were engaged in the construction work and the slab work had been completed on Saturday night. The injured have been admitted to Apollo Hospital and some of their condition is said to be critical.
