Two lakh saplings planted in Hyderabad

The third phase of the Haritha Haram programme was conducted in all the zones of GHMC on Wednesday.Citizens were encouraged to take saplings from nurseries in their area and help in the plantation drive.

More than two lakh saplings were planted across the city on Wednesday . Hyderabad mayor Bonthu Rammohan participated in the programme along with corporators and GHMC officials



in several areas, including LB Nagar Circle and Malakpet Circle. The list of nurseries under GHMC, HMDA and forest department is available at the green Hyderabad website.

This year, GHMC plans to plant one crore saplings.“We are distributing an additional 46 species of home stead plants to residents and colony associations,“ said a GHMC official.
