Two people were electrocuted in Medchal and Cherlapally on Friday. In the first incident, Dilip Pingua, a 22-year-old migrant worker from Jharkhand, working as a technician in an optical fibre service provider firm, climbed an electric pole with the help of a ladder to check cables while attending to a repair. He is believed to have been electrocuted after the
pole conducted electricity due to the rain.
In a separate incident, Purushotham, a 41-year-old construction worker, was at work when he attempted to lift a tin sheet. When he was lifting it, it came into contact with the 11KV electrical cables passing above him, resulting in his immediate death.
