Justice Munnuri Laxman and Justice Gunnu Anupama Chakravarthy, the two judges of the Telangana High Court, have been transferred to the Rajasthan High Court and the Patna High Court respectively.
The Union law ministry issued orders on Wednesday, following by the approval of President Draupadi Murmu on the recommendations of the Supreme Court collegium.
The collegium headed by Chief Justice of India, Justice D.Y. Chandrachud proposed to transfer four judges of the Telangana High Court and two judges
of the Andhra Pradesh High Court to various high courts in the country. However, the warrants have been issued transferring two judges from the Telangana High Court and two judges from the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Justice Munnuri Laxman was appointed as the judge of the Telangana High Court in 2021 from the Judicial Officers quota. Justice Anupama Chakravarthy was appointed as the judge of the Telangana High Court in 2022. She is also from the Judicial Officers quota.
