The Telangana government will allocate land for a UAE Consulate to be set up in Hyderabad city. Infrastructural facilities will also be provided. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave instructions in this regard to officials following Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of United Arab Emirates discussing with him the setting up a UAE Consulate in Hyderabad.
“This will strengthen relationship between the state government and UAE,” the chief minister told the UAE minister who called on him at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday.
On the invitation of the chief minister, the UAE minister said he would visit Hyderabad another time and spend three to four days here. He expressed keen interest to visit the Kaleshwaram irrigation project about which
Chandrasekhar Rao explained to him.
The UAE minister who spent an hour with the chief minister was briefed by the chief minister about theinitiatives taken on industrial policy, development on social aspects, education, medicine and establishing of infrastructure and also how the state was overcoming hurdles and solving problems to emerge as a prosperous state.
KCR explained to the UAE minister about how Telangana was a destination for medical tourism and about how people from various countries were coming here for medical treatment.
Industries minister K T Rama Rao briefed him about the ‘Ease of doing business’ in Telangana. “The state’s per capita income is much higher than the country’s per capita income,” he informed him.
