Former minister in the undivided Andhra Pradesh and senior TDP leader from Nalgonda district A Uma Madhava Reddy is all set to join the ruling TRS.
The senior leader of the TDP from Nalgonda along with her son A Sandeep Reddy met Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at his camp office on Tuesday. She expressed her willingness to work under KCR for the development of Telangana.
She is likely to join TRS formally on December 14. After A Revanth Reddy, Uma Madhava Reddy is the latest to leave the Telugu Desam Party. It was believed that Uma Madhava Reddy would join the
Congress along with Revanth Reddy but the former minister decided to join the TRS.
Recently, Kancharla Bhoopal Reddy too had joined the TRS. Uma Madhava Reddy, in fact, met the Chief Minister in the Assembly seeking house sites for the families died in the hands of Naxals.She is believed to have expressed her desire to join the ruling party at that time itself. Uma Madhava Reddy was active member in the TDP from Nalgonda but of late she has been away from the activities of the party. She even skipped a meeting of the TDP leaders with party chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
