Uma Reddy quits Telugu Desam party

Hyderabad: Aliminenti Uma Madhav Reddy, former Minister and wife of the former Home Minister, A. Madhav Reddy quit the Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday.

Her son Sandeep Reddy, TDP district unit president of Bhongir Yadradri district also deserted the party snapping the two and a half decade old association with the Telugu Desam. Both have faxed their resignation letters to the TDP Chief N

Uma Madhav Reddy and her son will be joining the TRS party in the presence of the Chief Minister on Thursday. They had a meeting with the Chief Minister and the Minister for energy G Jagadish Reddy on Tuesday.

Followers of the family and TDP cadre from the Bhongir were expected to join the ruling party along with them in a big way.
