Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy has unveiled the plaque for Telangana’s first National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), in Secunderabad yesterday. The institute aims at addressing the shortage of human resources that the local sector companies are facing by providing skill training of at least 5,000 people through the centre during the next three years.

The Centre will be operating from a 11,000 sq.ft. facility on the SP Road Secunderabad.



Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said India will increase its hold on Electronics and IT sectors in the days to come. He said the NIELIT centre in Hyderabad will help improve skills, training at international standards among youth. He further said setting up the centre within a month of sanctioning of these centres at Secunderabad and Tirupati reflects how the Central government is making efforts for better opportunities for the youth.
