BJP Telangana State President and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has appealed to the people to join the BJP to “preserve culture and integrity” of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the BJP’s nationwide membership drive on the 2nd of this month and called it an expansion of the family and also an ideological movement.
The membership drive in the state has been formally launched in Hyderabad last evening. Speaking on the occasion, the state president asked party workers to enrol at least 100 party members each, and it will help the party come to power in Telangana. He gave a missed call to the party phone number to enrol himself as a member. He asked party workers to treat each polling booth as a focus
centre.
He also urged the party workers to enrol prominent personalities, professionals, and community elders, irrespective of their caste and creed. BJP Parliamentary Board member and OBC Morcha president Dr K. Laxman pointed out that the Narendra Modi government had introduced the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in Parliament at a time when the opposition was suspecting that the BJP with a reduced majority in the Lok Sabha could not take bold decisions.
BJP vice president and Mahbubnagar MP, D.K. Aruna, said that the BJP was the only party that never craved power. She further said the BJP must come to power in Telangana to fulfil the ideals of a separate Telangana state.
