Uttam Kumar Reddy Reviews Huzurnagar, Kodad Projects

Irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Congress legislator Padmavathi Reddy on Sunday reviewed the development activities in their Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies with local officials and elected representatives. They explained that they could not hold review meetings for 70 days because of the model code of conduct. Uttam Kumar Reddy inspected the ongoing construction of a housing colony in Huzurnagar.

They appealed to officials and elected representatives to ensure all works are of good quality and are speedily completed. They were felicitated for record majorities of 1.06 lakh in Huzurnagar and 97,000 in Kodad in the recent ecletions. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Padmavathi Reddy reviewed work at the panchayat raj, electricity and road and buildings departments with officials at the minister’s camp office in



Huzurnagar. 

Uttam Kumar Reddy inquired about the proposals for new projects in Nalgonda district. On the panchayat raj department, the minister said that Rs 124 crore were released for taking up projects in Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies.

The minister directed the officials not to compromise in terms of quality of construction of works in both Assembly constituencies and said that senior officials must keep a vigil on ongoing projects. The minister also stated that the government had released Rs 267 crore for building 37 roads in Huzurnagar and Rs 176 crore for seven roads in Kodad the constituency. Uttam Kumar Reddy also directed the electricity department officials to take measures to prevent low-voltage issues in rural and urban localities.
