Unveiling a poster of Sonia Gandhi, which the Congress party will parade on June 2 marking the commencement of the formation day celebrations, former PCC president V. Hanumantha Rao said that the message of the Congress party will be taken to the people while simultaneously exposing the failures of the state and central governments.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, "We had back then apprised Sonia of the necessity of granting statehood as our youth are being denied jobs in the undivided State, leading to suicides. She realised the sentiment and granted statehood."

the people how K. Chandrashekar Rao had cheated them by promising to make a dalit CM, giving three acres land to dalits, and fee reimbursement. For the next 20 days we will explain these things to the people," the senior Congress leader said.
Reiterating the call of the Congress party for a BC Census, he said, "The PCC president and the CLP leader will send a special invite to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to announce the BC declaration of the party. Narendra Modi has let down the BCs, who are also losing out job opportunities because the privatisation spree."
