Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu Wednesday called upon the young students to prepare themselves to be leaders of the resurgent India.
Addressing a gathering of students and teachers of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan schools in Hyderabad, he said the students will be called upon soon to be leaders of India’s journey towards development as the country is surging forward to achieve sustainable and inclusive development.
The Vice President asked the students to learn to do things and develop practical and pragmatic wisdom.
He asked them to understand theories but also learn to
gauge their practical application.
Quoting Albert Einstein and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Mr Naidu stressed the need to reinvent the entire education system. He said, education system should identify speciality about each child and nurture those special capabilities.
He said schools must be centers of joyful learning and launching pads for innovation. Stating that the world has become truly a global village, the Vice President asked the teachers to make the best possible use of the technology but cautioned against children getting addicted to smart phones and computers.
