The Special Court for National Investigation Agency (NIA) cases is set to deliver the verdict in the Dilsukhnagar twin blasts case on November 21.At least 17 persons were killed and 119 persons were injured in the blasts which took place at Dilsukhnagar on February 21, 2013.
The twin blasts took place at A1 mirchi center and a busy public place located between Venkatadri theatre and Dilsukhnagar bus stand. The two explosions took place within a distance of 100 meters.
During probe, the NIA filed charge sheet against six
persons of Indian Mujahideen (IM), Riyaz Bhatkal, Asadullah Akthar alias Haddi, Tehseen Akthar alias Monu, Mohammed Ahmed Sidibappa Yasin Bhatkal, Zia ur Rehman and Aizaz Shaik but Riyaz Bhatkal to be the mastermind behind the twin blasts is still at large, while the remaining five persons were subsequently arrested by the NIA.
The court has verified the statements of 158 witnesses recorded by the NIA, 502 documents and 201 materials that were seized during investigation, and reserved the judgement to November 21.
