Vikarabad: District Collector Prateek Jain held a meeting with Lagacherla farmers on Thursday over land acquisition for the proposed multipurpose industrial park.
Compensation would be paid in single instalment and the same would be offered through cheques. This apart, approved house plots would be handed over to the farmers, who agree to part their lands, he said.
Over 58 acres pertaining to 36 farmers under survey no 102 was identified for acquisition and the farmers
gave their consent for acquisition. Five farmers, who own lands in the identified survey number had passed away and their legal heirs have been asked to submit the consent forms before Monday, the Collector said.
“Compensation of Rs 20 lakh per acre, one Indiramma house in 150 square yards plot and one job per family based on the educational qualification is being offered,” Prateek Jain said, according to a press release.
