Dr Arshad Mohammed from Vikarabad, a dentist from the state who was pursuing an orthodontics course in the US, died in a road accident at Chicago on Thursday night, according to reports.
Dr Arshad, 32, a resident of Andhra Pradesh Housing Board (APHB) Colony in Vikarabad, had gone to the US to pursue the course. He was staying at his sister’s house in Bloomingdale in the US and was the youngest sibling.
In all, two people died in the accident
three others sustained injuries in the multi-vehicle crash.
According to sources, Dr Arshad was seeking an advanced certificate in orthodontics and a master of science in oral sciences at the UIC Orthodontics School.
The school was closed on Friday in the wake of his death.
Dr Arshad’s family subsequently rented out their house in APHB Colony and were living in the city. Sources said Dr Arshad’s parents were going to Chicago for the funeral.
In all, two people died in the accident three others sustained injuries in the multi-vehicle crash. Of the three vehicles, two were damaged. One person, who got trapped in one of the vehicles, was extricated, reports said.
