Vikas Raj orders police protection for RPI contestants

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj on Sunday directed the Hyderabad police commissioner and district electoral officers to provide police protection to 12 candidates of Republican Party of India (A) who are contesting the November 30 Asembly elections following a complaint lodged by the



party.

A few days ago, RPI Telangana chief Peram Siva Nageswara Rao Goud and filed a complaint with the CEO seeking police protection for the candidates in view of threatening calls from other political parties.
