The BJP on Tuesday said the 1,000 hike in wages to sanitation workers announced by the state government would not make any difference without an employment guarantee. The party promised that after it comes to power in the state, its government will give a 2,000 hike and ensure that the workers are employed properly.

"Not only will our government ensure their employment but their salaries will be paid on time along with Deepavali and Dasara bonuses," Sanjay said, adding that Swachh

Bharat awards that the state gets were due to the hard work of sanitation workers. "The hike in wages is just another election stunt by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Sanjay added.

State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar in a statement also criticised the government for the death of a boy who fell into a pit in Jubilee Hills. Even after repeated incidents, the government does not care about the lives of people, he said.
