The premier global entertainment company Warner Bros. Discovery has officially launched its 'Hyderabad Capability Centre'.
IT and industries minister K.T. Rama Rao, during the inauguration, said, "Warner Bros. Discovery has many iconic brands across television, films, and streaming."
He continued, "I am proud to note that Warner Bros. Discovery with such marquee presence and brands in the media space has chosen Hyderabad for setting up its development centre."
Rama Rao highlighted the rapid progress of the Hyderabad Capability Centre, which materialised within four months of its announcement. He also mentioned the announcement of Warner
Bros. Discovery's Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad during a meeting with Alex Carter in New York in May this year.
Further, Rama Rao noted the significant growth of IT employment in Telangana, which has surged to nearly a million despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event was attended by Warner Bros. Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels, senior vice-president finance Alexandra Carter, Hyderabad Capability Centre leader Jaideep Agarwal, US Consul General in Hyderabad Jennifer Larson, Investment Promotions Special Secretary Dr Vishnuvardhan Reddy, and Chief Relations Officer Amarnath Reddy.
