Stating that Hyderabad people have immense faith in the 18-month- old TRS government, Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao today criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to keep his promise of bringing black money and on the spree of foreign tours. He expressed discontent at Modi for not visiting Hyderabad after NDA government formed at the Centre and not giving any funds for Telangana State.
Inviting some BJP leaders and activists, including Bangaru Prakash and Sama Sunder Reddy into the TRS fold at the party office here on Thursday, the IT minister said the Hyderabadis do believe Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was trying to transform the city into a global destination with all infrastructure and facilities. “The voters will not prefer the BJP as Union minister Bandadru Dattatreya and party Telangana State president Kishen Reddy were least bothered about developing the City. They must press the Centre to give Rs one lakh crore package to the State as it gave to Gujarat and bring Modi to Hyderabad”, he added.

The Opposition parties are getting envious of the TRS as its leaders were away from infighting, he opined. Expressing displeasure at the BJP and the Telugu Desam parties for doing politics for civic polls in the name of religion and region respectively, he flayed their speeches at the Nizam College public meeting targeting the ruling party and Chief Minister KCR.
KTR also vehemently condemned the Opposition leaders’ pungent comments and sought to know what the BJP-led NDA government did for Hyderabad city. “The people will not trust the Congress in the civic polls as it did nothing for the past six decades. Why should Hyderabad people vote for the Congress or the TDP and BJP combine?, he asked. The IT minister also exuded confidence that the TRS will emerge victorious in the civic polls by winning a minimum of 100 seats and get the top post of Mayor to hoist pink flag on the GHMC. Despite Opposition criticism, the government will do its best for Hyderabad city, he added.
