Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday sought to know whether investigating officers of the Task Force office blast case would be held responsible for wrongly putting 10 people behind bars.

Owaisi was reacting to the acquittal of the accused. Taking to Twitter, the Hyderabad MP said, “2005 Hyd TF office Blast will the Investigation officers be made accountable & great work Advocate Azeem & Uma Maheshwar & Rafat saheb (sic).“ In another tweet, he pointed out that investigators could not prove that a conspiracy was hatched and that the accused had lost 10 years of their lives.

In another development, in a series of tweets, Owaisi came out strongly in support of Vice President Hamid Ansari who stated that Muslims are feeling a sense of insecurity . “Yes Vice President of India is absolutely right, Muslims are apprehensive and there is a sense of insecurity ,“ he said.

Criticising the right wing forces, Owaisi tweeted, “VP Hamid Ansari was invited to give a speech by “India Foundation“ on Counter Terrorism 14 March 2017 khaki pants should read his speech (sic).“Implying that the Vice President is impartial, Owaisi said that Ansari had quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on skill development and that his speech should be read.
