The winter session of the Telangana Assembly would be held from December 16. The session is likely to last for about 10 days.
This was decided after a meeting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had with his Cabinet colleagues on Wednesday.The Chief Minister had requested Legislature Secretary Raja Sadaram to send a request note to Governor ESL Narasimhan for convening the session, according to sources.
The winter session will discuss the impact of
demonetisation on state economy and the proposal to introduce digital transactions in all sectors.The progress made in two-bedroom housing scheme and the implementation of welfare and developmental programmes would also come up for debate.
Opposition parties are gearing up to raise issues like loan-waiver scheme and non-clearance of fee reimbursement for colleges.
It was decided that the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting would be held on December 15.
