Workers’ welfare paramount: Nayini

Telangana Government today celebrated International Labour Day also known as May Day across the state in a grand manner. Giving due honour and recognition to the working class the May Day was celebrated across the world. While all celebrations were conducted in all districts, various trade unions took out rallies in support of the working class in various places. To mark the occasion, the State Government conducted International Workers Day at Ravindra Bharathi here on Sunday morning.

Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy who also holds Labour portfolio, chaired the celebrations attended by Council



Chairman Swamy Goud, MLC Ramulu Naik, Singareni CMD, Sridhar and other officials. Speaking on the occasion the Labour Minister stated that the welfare of the labours is of paramount priority. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is making persistent efforts for the workers welfare and trying to route out corruption. KCR is a mass leader with guts and vision whom the nation feels proud of him Reddy remarked. Our Government is all set to provide good governance that sans corruption or irregularities, Narsimha Reddy maintained. Unfortunately, Sirpur Kagajagar Paper Mill was closed due to negligence of previous governments he charged. The TRS Government is making efforts to revive it and restore the past glory of giving jobs to the workers, the labour minister stated. With transparency and accountability the TRS Government will implement various welfare schemes and will help labour classes he vowed.

He also sought that the managements and workers should work together for better productivity. Cordial atmosphere between the two parties will prove handy he remarked. The State Government is spending huge funds for welfare of the people and workers he added.
