TRS is leaving no stone unturned to ensure its grand success of Pragathi Nivedana Sabha. Works are being completed at a breakneck speed, including the laying of 12 of 15 roads proposed to reach the venue.
Under the supervision of Minister KT Rama Rao, TRS leaders from Hyderabad and erstwhile Ranga Reddy district are making widespread arrangements for the gathering of about 25 lakh people.
The meeting site spread over 2,000 acres. About 480 acres are earmarked for the meeting venue, which includes the main dais to accommodate at least 600 persons. While the main dais will be located at Kongara Kalan, parking arrangements are being made at Kongara Kalan, Raviryala, Mangalpalli and other surrounding areas along the Outer Ring Road (ORR).
Another 1,500 acres have been developed with 16 parking lots to accommodate over one lakh vehicles. “The parking lots are planned on four sides of the venue to enable people to reach the main dais easily,” IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao told the media at the venue on Tuesday. In addition to seven existing roads, the TRS leaders took up development of 15 new approach roads to the venue, including one 200
feet road and four 100 feet roads.
Nearly 7,000 RTC buses are being hired to mobilise people to the venue, besides private buses and other vehicles. To ensure that people who are unable to reach the main venue do not face any trouble, adequate drinking water counters and toilets are being arranged. LED screens and public announcement system are also being arranged throughout the main venue. To provide adequate lighting, 500 electric poles and also 80 transformers are being deployed by the TRS leaders.
A helipad is also being readied for the Chief Minister near the main dais to enable him to reach the venue without causing any trouble for regular traffic.
In addition to the police forces, about 5,000 volunteers are being deployed to guide people. For safety and security, around 300 closed-circuit television cameras are being installed at the main venue and also parking lots. Around 30 ambulances along with medical camps are being arranged to attend medical emergencies of the supporters. Separate galleries are being arranged for elected representatives, NRIs, professionals and industrialists at the venue.
