The repair works of National Highway which passes through the GHMC area will be completed by December 10, roads and buildings minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said.
The minister directed officials to complete the work before December 10 and set up National Academy of Construction (NAC) branches in all the districts while attending the NAC executive committee meeting on Friday. All private engineering colleges, polytechnic colleges and ITIs too will used for imparting skills to youth, the minister said.
The meeting also resolved
requesting the state government to exempt income tax on the corpus fund of NAC.Computer labs will be set up at NAC for imparting training to unemployed youth. The meeting permitted to purchase 60 computers for each lab. The medical allowance and annual increment amount for NAC employees will be increased from the present Rs 3,500 to Rs 5,000.
According to sources, the employees of NAC will get Rs 3 lakh health insurance cover. Roads and buildings principal secretary Sunil Sharma and other government officials were present at the meeting.
