To promote antimicrobial good practices, stewardship and address the growing concern of antimicrobial resistance, an Antimicrobial Stewardship Workshop, featuring over 104 registered doctors, microbiologists and healthcare professionals from various hospitals, was organised by Osmania General Hospital (OGH).

The workshop, which was



organised by Microbiology department and Infection Control Team of OGH, featured expert talks on various topics, including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, global importance of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, antifungal resistance, and upgrading conventional laboratories to antimicrobial stewardship programs (AMSPs).
