Airbus Beluga, the world’s largest cargo plane known for its distinctive whale-like shape, landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad early Friday morning. The aircraft touched down at around 12.17 am. This was the third time the massive aircraft has visited the city, with previous stops in December 2022 and
August 2023.
The Beluga, officially known as the Airbus A300-608ST, arrived from Muscat International Airport for refuelling and crew rest. The aircraft was scheduled to depart for Thailand at 3.00 pm.
The Beluga first landed in Hyderabad in 2022 while en route to Pattaya Airport in Thailand.
