Ravindra Bharathi will provide an opportunity for young directors to exhibit their movies every Saturday starting November 12. This is to encourage Telangana talent in Tollywood, which is dominated by people from Andhra.
“From November 12, every Saturday will be ‘Cine-vaaram’ instead of ‘Sanivaaram (Saturday)’ for upcoming directors at Ravindra Bharathi,” said Telangana language and cultural department director Mamidi Harikrishna. From 4 pm to 9 pm every Saturday, the



first floor of Ravindra Bharathi will be given free of cost to young directors to screen their short films. Two short films will be allowed to be screened followed by a discussion.The hall in the complex was renovated at a cost of `80 lakh recently enabling the directors to screen their short films.
The cultural department has been organising short film festivals for one week once every year. Now, every Saturday will be a free-zone for directors to promote their short films.
