ZAPAT to beefed-up security at Nehru Zoological Park

The governing body of Zoos and Parks Authority of Telangana (ZAPAT) has decided to beef-up security at the Nehru Zoological Park (NZP) by constructing high-security walls and install CCTV cameras.

This decision was taken by Minister for Forest and Environment Jogu Ramanna during a review meeting with the officials on Thursday and asked the officials concerned to seek support from South Central Railway for laying additional track for toy train in the Nehru



Zoological Park. He further directed the officials to set up solar lightings in all the zoos and parks across the State.

“More battery vehicles will be added for the convenience of visitors to the NZP and the department is making efforts to bring new animals and partners for single animals from other States. Steps are being taken for improving facilities for visitors and modernization of zoos and parks across the State,” he said in a release.
