In Turkey, a suspected terrorist of Islamic State group has killed 10 people, at least eight of them German tourists, in a suicide bomb attack in the city of Istanbul. Officials say that the Syrian national carried out the attack in the Sultanahmet district, near the famous Blue Mosque.
Fifteen people were wounded, many of them also German. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey is the top target for all terrorist groups in
the region. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said the perpetrator of the attack was an IS terrorist.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the terrorist bombing in Istanbul, Turkey, which targeted the heart of the capital's tourist district, calling it a despicable crime. The Secretary-General expects the perpetrators of this attack to be swiftly brought to justice, said a statement released by his spokesperson.
