In Afghanistan, at least 19 people, including 10 members of country's Sikh minority, were killed yesterday in a suicide bombing in the eastern city of Jalalabad.
Spokesman for the provincial health department of Nangarhar said, 20 others were injured in the blast.
Police chief of Nangarhar, Ghulam Sanayi Stanekzai, said the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber who targeted a vehicle carrying members of
the Sikh minority who were travelling to meet President Ashraf Ghani.
The Provincial Governor's spokesperson, Attaullah Khogyani, said, the blast occurred hours after the President's visit in the city, the provincial capital of Nangarhar.He said, shops and buildings around Mukhaberat square were damaged in the blast. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
