14 killed after 6.8 magnitude earthquake hits Ecuador

At least 14 people were killed and hundreds were injured in Ecuador after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck the country's coastal region on Saturday.

also felt in Peru, where at least one person died, The Associated Press reported. "We remain in the territory verifying the damage caused by the earthquake," Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso tweeted.
