In Syria, sixteen civilians, including three children, were killed in heavy bombardment across rebel-held Idlib province.The Britain-based Observatory monitoring group reported that air strikes in Khan Sheikhun, a town in the province's south,yesterday killed seven people, including two women and a child.
Another seven people, including four women and two children, were
killed in raids on Kafr Takharim, further north in the province. Another man and a woman were killed in rocket fire in the nearby town of Kafr Awid.
The Britain-based Observatory said the raids were carried out by either Syrian or Russian aircraft. Since Thursday, bombardment has killed 44 civilians, including 11 women, nine children, and one rescue worker.
