16 killed in bomb attack in Iraq

In Iraq, at least 16 people were killed in a bomb attack today during funerals in a northern village for fighters killed by the Islamic State group. Mayor Salaheddin Shaalansaid that a bomb targeted a funeral procession in Asdira near the town of



Sharqat. 

He said that most of the 14 people injured in the blast were in critical condition. The attack was the deadliest in Iraq after January 16 double suicide bombing attack in Baghdad that cost 31 lives.
