2 killed in battery plant explosion in China

In China, in a battery plant explosion in east Jiangsu Province two were confirmed dead and 18 others were injured. The city government said that blast went off yesterday evening at a lithium battery storehouse in the city of Qidong. It said 12 factory



workers and eight firemen have been admitted to hospitals in Qidong and Nantong with injuries. Two critically injured cases, including a worker and a fireman, died in hospital. Authorities have closed down the plant and launched an investigation.
