At least 25 migrants died yesterday when their boat capsized in the Aegean Sea while trying to cross from Turkey to Greece. The Turkish coastguard said in Ankara, 15 migrants were rescued following the capsizal off the coastal town of Didim in southwest Turkey. It said, 10 out of 25 dead were children. It further said,
the coastguard, backed up by three boats and one helicopter, was still searching for more survivors.
The nationality of the migrants was not immediately known. More than 2,000 migrants, most from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, are reaching Greece every day hoping to travel further north through Europe.
