At least 25 people have been killed in a landslide after heavy rain and snowfall in the Noorgram district of Afghanistan. The landslide on Sunday night affected two dozen houses in the region. The spokesperson for Afghanistan's disaster management Ministry, Janan Sayeq, informed in a social media post that 25 people lost their in the night-time
incident. He said, 15 to 20 houses were destroyed either completely or partially.
The Noorgram district falls under the Nuristan province where such natural disasters are common and the area is mostly covered by mountains and forests. The province also shares a border with Pakistan.
